Dorothy JoAnn (Coon) Bachtel. Surrounded by family, JoAnn (Coon) Bachtel passed away after a long illness on Thursday, June 16, 2016. Born in Petersburg, Indiana, JoAnn raised her children in Columbus, Ohio and later resided in Naples, Florida and Aiken, South Carolina with her devoted husband Jack Bachtel, they recently returned to Columbus to be near family once again. Preceded by her parents Charles and Bernadette (Lundergan) Seal, her brother Robert Seal, her husband Fredrick Coon, her son David Coon, her sister and brother-in-law Betty (Seal) and Herbert Maher, her grandson Gabriel Pacione. Survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jack Bachtel; her sister, Jane (Seal) Gilbert; her children, Lori (Coon) Cox, Colleen (Coon) and husband, Tom Ward, Sharon (Coon) and husband, Jeff Pacione, Steve Coon and wife, Jill; and Jack's children, Christine (Bachtel) and husband, Dave Ahnmark, Bruce Bachtel, Robert Bachtel and wife, Debra. Over their 27 years together, Jack and JoAnn have loved each other unconditionally and enjoyed 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. There will be a private family service.
