BAKER Martha Heacock Baker died March 5, 2004 of ALS. Preceded in death by husband Dr. David F. Baker, Professor and Chairman Department of Industrial Engineering, OSU, daughter Janet Baker Freeman, and sister Edith H. Horn. Survived by grandson, Russell D.W. Freeman; sister, Nancy Heacock; niece, Sara H. Vandierdonck; son, Jeffrey Davis Baker; and devoted friends, Nancy Pegues and Orpha Lapp. Graduated from Western College and OSU. Member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church. Dedicated member of environmental and conservation causes and the Whetstone Library Book Discussion Group. Donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy, Overbrook Presbyterian Church, or WOSU-FM. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 North High Street. Arrangements by SOUTHWICK-GOOD & FORTKAMP FUNERAL CHAPEL. Private inurnment in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
