Beaty Elizabeth T. Beaty. A graveside service will be held for Elizabeth T. Beaty, 86, of Newark, at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington with Rev. Stephen J. Cramer as celebrant. Mrs. Beaty died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark. She was born April 13, 1927 in Jackson, TN to the late Earl and Blanche (Wyatt) Twomey, Sr. The epitome of southern class and grace, Elizabeth was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother whose priority was family. She attended Lambuth University in Jackson, TN and after staying home to raise her family worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Ohio as a Manager in Data Entry. She was a 45 year member of Worthington United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She also enjoyed gardening and growing herbs and African violets. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Doug Wagner, DVM of Granville, and Cindy and Dan Penovich of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, Caitlin, Andrew, and Samuel Wagner and Laura and Mark Penovich; brother-in-law, Jim Duncan of Matthews, NC; nieces, Laura Leigh Finn, Sandra Rick, Lucy Rix; and nephew, Scott Duncan. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lowell Beaty, who died in 2002, brothers Alan and Earl, Jr. Twomey and sister Rosemary Duncan.
