Bierly Eleanor Ann Pfefferle Bierly, "Nana", age 92, of Swansboro, NC, formerly of Worthington, Ohio, passed away on 7 November 2015 at home in Swansboro, NC where she resided with her loving son, Sherman Bierly and his family. Survived by daughter, Lois Johnson of Grandview, WA; son and daughter-in-law, Sherman and Donna Bierly of Swansboro, NC; step-son, Ray Bierly of Tarpon Springs, FL; grandchildren, Shane Bierly and Shauna Bierly, students at Duke University, and Cheyanne Bierly of the home; grandchildren, Heather Hill of Deland, Fl, Heidi and spouse, Dan Churchill of Grandview, WA; sisters, Betty Ninde of Greer, SC and Edith Darrough of Worthington, OH; great grandchildren, Jared, Dani and Gloria Churchill. Her children have fond memories of backyard family cookouts and camping adventures. Eleanor always had her door open, a fire in the fireplace in winter and welcomed all who came to visit. She was the former Sharon Township Clerk of Worthington, OH for over 25 years, and former secretary/clerk at Walnut Grove Cemetery. A 1940 graduate of Worthington High School and active member of the Worthington Grace Brethren Church until she moved to North Carolina in 2005 to be with her son and family. She loved taking trips, caring for her flowers, and listening to her grandchildren sing and play piano. She will be dearly missed. Funeral Service will be held at at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at RUTHERFORD CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, Ohio.
