Blake Florence Maxine Croner Allen Blake, 93, departed this life on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Born to Bert and Inez Croner in Rendville, Ohio. She enlisted in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) and was honorably discharged as a commissioned Officer in 1946. Retired from DCSC and a devoted member of St. Philip Lutheran Church for over 50 years. Preceded in death by parents, loving husband of 42 years George C. Blake, Sr., daughter Barbara J. Allen, brothers Larry, Bert Jr., Paul Croner, sisters Doris, Ruth, Betty Jane, Belia Warren, Eloise McCaine and Inez Allen. She leaves to cherish her memory beloved son, Dwight J. Allen; three step sons, George Jr. (Alice), Russell (Lorna) and Ronald Blake; step daughter, Arlene Bates; sisters-in-law, Della Blake, Mary (Bud) Walker and Margaret Croner; numerous nieces, nephews; grandchildren; precious guardian angel, Frances Austin. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Parkside Village Senior Living Community, 730 N.
