Porterfield "Pete" Bradby II, age 51 of Delaware died unexpectedly Saturday, January 27, 2007 at his home in Delaware.

He was born on March 15, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. A lifelong resident of Delaware, he graduated with the Delaware Hayes High School Class of 1976 and attended Zion AME Church. Pete had worked at the check out line for Kroger's. A fixture in Delaware, he could be found walking about the entire community. He enjoyed the beat of music, especially Reggae, he also collected tambourines and other percussion instruments.

He is survived by his father and step-mother: Porterfield (Glorial) Bradby I in Knoxville, Tennessee, Brother: Allen Lamar Bradby of Knoxville, Tennessee, Sister: Catharine (Philip) Whitworth of Elyria, Aunt: Martha Trimble Jackson of Los Angeles, California, Uncle: Dwight Trimble of Delaware, in addition to a large extended family, four Aunts, and three Uncles also survive in Norfolk, Virginia.

Preceded in death by his mother Marie C. Trimble on August 4, 1964.

On behalf of Pete, his family would like to thank the community of Delaware for making him feel comfortable by treating him so well over the years, also to Grady Memorial Hospital, Riverside Hospital, Delaware Mental Health Services, and his many friends at McDonald's and throughout Delaware.

Friends may call Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware. Graveside funeral services will follow 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington with Rev. Edna M. Parker of the Zion AME Church officiating.
