BRAHM Estelle Hudson Brahm, 100, of Friendship Village of Columbus, passed away September 6, 2005. She was born December 24, 1904 in Cleveland, Ohio. Graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland in 1922, Flora Stone Mather College in 1926 and The School of Library Science in 1927 (both colleges now part of Case Western Reserve University). Was reference librarian at the University for 9 years. Married fellow librarian Walter Thomas Brahm on February 29, 1936 at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. Lived in Toledo, Worthington, Connecticut and Dublin. Was a charter member of women's clubs in Simsbury, Connecticut and Dublin, Ohio and The Worthington Historical Society. Member of Worthington Presbyterian Church. Survived by daughter, Carolyn (Dan) Owens of Worthington, OH; granddaughters, Cynthia (Steve) Satterthwaite of Mason, OH and Beth Ann Owens of Hilliard, OH; and great-grandchildren, C. Bradley Satterthwaite and Amy E. Satterthwaite. Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Walter Thomas Brahm, and sister, Edna Caroline Hudson. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Worthington Historical Society, 50 W. New England Ave., Worthington, OH 43085. Funeral Service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Worthington Presbyterian Church Chapel, 773 High Street, Worthington, OH. Dr. Philip H. Hazelton officiating.
