Florence Burington Bucher, age 84, of 102 Glenmont Ave., Columbus, Saturday, October 22, 1988. Widow of Professor Paul Bucher of Ohio State University. Survived by daughter, Mary A. Bucher of Columbus; brother, Arthur Morse Burington of Panama City; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church, Sarah circle, W.S.C.S. and the Grapevine Callers of Shut-Ins. Graduate of the Ohio State University where she received a Bachelor of Education Degree in 1924. Graduate of the Columbus Normal School, 1925. Taught at the Columbus Normal School, Highland Ave., Everett Jr. High School and South High School, 1925-1936. Member of Ohio State University Faculty Club, University Womens' Club, Ohio Retired Teachers Association and the Central Ohio Diabetes Association. Funeral service, 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 1988, at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 2383 N. High St., where family will receive friends Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m. Rev. Charles Hill officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
