On Thursday evening August 28th, Nancy Angus Burkman left our world after a very short and brave battle with cancer. Formerly from Worthington, she lived in Bluffton, S.C. the past four years. Nancy was born in East Orange, N.J. on June 3, 1933 and recently enjoyed a grand celebration of her 70th birthday. She was an Executive Secretary at Dun and Bradstreet in New York City, an Interior Designer and a Homemaker. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Conrad; her son Bruce, daughter-in-law Debbie, and granddaughter Ellie of Kirkwood, MO; Two sisters, Susan Taube of Newton, N.J. and Gayle Pearson of Morristown, N.J. A daughter Linda passed on 15 years before Nancy. Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother always putting family first. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 25 at Liberty Presbyterian Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's honor to the Hilton Head Humane Association, 10 Humane Way, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.
