Meryl Jean Cellar passed away peacefully at her home on April 15, 2020 at the age of 84. Jean was born on March 15, 1936 in Tollesboro, Kentucky. Jean was an employee of the Worthington City School District for 38 years and, as the Food Service Manager at Thomas Worthington High School for nearly 25 years, was beloved by both students and staff. Jean was a proud inductee of the TWHS Hall of Fame. Jean is preceded in death by her husband M. Roger Cellar and her son Roger Cellar. Jean is survived by her daughter Denise (Tim) Barnett and daughter-in-law Denisa Cellar; her grandchildren Tom (Rachel) Barnett, Jennifer (Andy) Suttner, Jeff (Holly) Barnett, Margaret Cellar, John Cellar and Claire Cellar; great-grandchildren Megan Barnett, Charlotte Suttner and Cameron Suttner; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
