Davis Carolyn Barton Davis, age 95, passed away August 6, 2014. She was a resident of Worthington, Ohio for 68 years. She was a 1937 graduate of Columbus School for Girls and attended Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York. She was a member of Third Church of Christ Scientist of Columbus, Ohio. She was also a member of the Worthington Womens' Club and a former long-time member of York Golf Club. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents James William Barton and Ruth Immel Barton, her husband Russell B. Davis and a sister Virginia Barton Heer. She is survived by her children, Sally (Tim) Adams, and Ellen Davis Chrise; grandchildren, Tim (Stephanie) Adams, Katie (Alex) Karns Harris, Kyle (Melissa) Chrise, Terry (Morgan) Adams, and Cory Chrise; great-grandchildren are Anabel Adams, Grant Karns, and Jensen Harris; nephews, Fred (Judy) Heer, David (Rick Reddy) Heer, and Tom (Cyndi) Heer; great nephew, Trent Heer; and many loving friends. She was an avid golfer who made two holes-in-one, and an excellent bowler who picked up the "big four". Carolyn's family would like to thank Mt. Carmel Hospice and Griswold Home Care for their wonderful support, with special thanks for Carolyn's caregiver, Lydia Agyemang. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio. Private service will be held at a later date.
