DENNISON David Telford Dennison, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at The Ohio State University Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Marie; son, David (Julie) Dennison, Jr.; daughter, Carol Sue Sword; grandsons, Benjamin and Adam Dennison; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Dennison; and a large extended family. Dave was born in Falls Creek, Jefferson County, Pa. He attended high school in Brookville, Pa. and was a graduate of Muskingum College, where he was a member of Mace Social Fraternity, the Varsity Footfall Squad and achieved a long-standing record in track. During World War II, Dave served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. Dave specialized in certification of farm crop seeds. He started with OSU in Columbus as manager of experiential plots for the Department of Agronomy. He later became chief inspector of the Ohio Seed Improvement Association and continued in that work until his retirement. The family will welcome friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, February 12 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 at the Walnut Grove Cemetery, with military rites provided by the U.S. Navy Honor Detail.
