Betty Lucille Butcher DuBoux, age 75, of Columbus, died Sunday, September 13, 1998 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Resident of Wesley Glenn Independent Living. Veteran WW II U.S. Navy (W.A.V.E.),. Retired teacher with Columbus Public Schools for 18 years. Preceded in death by husband Robert Frank DuBoux; brother Harold Butcher; and sister, Helen Harrington. Survived by son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Patricia DuBoux of Park Ridge, Ill.; sister Carrie (Edson) Kidwell, of Columbus; sister-in-law Grace Butcher, of Columbus; brother-in-law Jim Harrington of Davis, CA.; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Member of North United Methodist Church for over 50 years, life member of American Legion Post 443, graduate of Ohio State University, member of OSU Alumni Association, past president of Charter Story League; past president of Columbus Council P.T.A., instructor for 55 Alive Classes AARP. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Thursday September 17, 1998 at Rutherford Funeral Home 2383 N. High St., Columbus with Rev. Carol Sainey, officiating.
