Member Grace Brethren Church, Worthington. Graduate Ohio State University Bachelor Science/Agriculture. Taught 25 years Olentangy Schools retiring 1978. Retired from U.S. Marine Corps and Reserves 1981 at the rank of Colonel after 28 years seeing service, WW II and Korean Conflict. Survived by wife, Helen J. (Root) Fields; sons, Mark P., Delaware and Thomas Keith (Amy), Sunbury; daughter, Susan K. Fields, Sunbury; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Dorothy) Lawrence, LaRue and Lester. Preceded by brother Damon Leffler. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where services will be Friday 1 p.m. Rev. Richard VanGorden officiating.
