Eunice D. Garnett, of 4500 Dublin Rd., Tuesday at the residence. Retired school teacher having taught in the Columbus, Southwestern and St. Brennan School Districts. Survived by husband, Hugh W. Garnett; son, Rodney D. Garnett; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brother, Hiram Day, Los Angeles, Calif.; 4 sisters, Mrs. Ruth McFarling, Chicago, Mrs. Nora Hohn, Winslow, Ariz., Mrs. Clarissa Gillis, San Rafel, Calif., Mrs. Rachel Henke, Honolulu, Hawaii. She received her B.A. Degree from Illinois State University and her Master's from OSU. Member of Pi Lambda Theta Honorary Sorority. She was well-known nationally through her activities in flower arranging, judging and garden clubs. Member of Riverside Garden Club and founder of Cardiff Garden Club. Also member of the Columbus Camera Club. Friends may call at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd., 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Private funeral service Thursday morning. Rev. Steve Judah officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family suggests contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn., 200 E. Rich St., in her memory.
