GAYLORD R. Millicent Gaylord, age 98, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on May 23, 2012. Millicent will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 1, 1914 to Charles and Evelyn Guest. She was married to Robert S. Gaylord, Jr. in 1941 in Wayne County, Michigan. She most recently resided with her daughter Mary in Greenwood. Millicent resided in Ohio for many years, retiring from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. She attended Saint Paul's Church in Westerville and later, Saint Elizabeth Church in Columbus. Bible study, reading, as well as time with family and friends were Millicent's greatest joys. The family would like to thank our dear friend, DeAnna Harwick who lifted Millicent's heart every day. Millicent is preceded in death by husband Robert and grandson Edward Fuller. She is survived by her children son, Robert S Gaylord III; daughters, Mary Gaylord and Evelyn (James) Giehl. She is also survived by great-grandson, Jeffrey Fuller; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES, Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N. High St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
