Hannum Margaret B. Hannum passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on April 16, 2015 at the age of 87. She was born in England to the late Albert J. and Doris Brigden Cherry on September 23, 1927 and was raised in both India and England. She became a war bride in 1948 and was married for 62 years to Roy T. Hannum, Jr., who preceded her in death. Margaret was a beautiful seamstress and knitter. She enjoyed cross stitching and loved her flower garden and the kitties who roamed it. Margaret retired from the State of Ohio Taxation Department at which time she joined many different groups such as the Twigs, the knitting club, the garden club, the Red Hatters, and United Methodist Church of Marengo ladies group. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Violet, her mother and father-in-law Goldie and Roy Sr., her brothers-in-law Ralph and Art, and sisters-in-law Vi and Mary Ellen. Margaret is survived by her sister, Doris in Scotland; her daughter, Suzanne (Dan); her grandson Jason (Jen); her great grandchildren, Sarah and Gracelyn; step-son, Wyatt; she is also survived by brothers-in-law, George, Jerry, Ned, Dennis, and Larry; and with sisters-in-law, June, Mary, Roddy, Joanne, Andy, Patsy and Judy; along with their families of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 12 noon with one hour prior calling at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, Ohio. Pastors Phil Duncan and Jan Sprague will officiate. Interment will follow at the Worthington (Walnut Grove) Cemetery. We will gather after for memories and food at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel.
