Mary Ann “Myrt” Griffith Harnack, 84, went home to be with her Savior on July 3, 2017, in the Health Center of her home, Friendship Village of Dublin. Born in Columbus on May 19, 1933, to Dr. and Mrs. Wm. Lester Griffith of Worthington, Ohio. Preceded in death by the love of her life, Paul T. Harnack, in 2014, parents, and sister, Alice Jayne Fraas. Survived by wonderful sons, Charles (Teresa) Harnack of Columbus and David (Lisa) Harnack of Dublin; brother-in-law, Bill Fraas and niece, Tracy Plessinger (Mark) of South Dakota; nephews, Wyatt Fraas (Jeanne) of Nebraska and Douglas (Kelly) Fraas of Oregon. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1951 and from The Ohio State University in 1955, and was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She taught school in Puerto Rico, California and Worthington, and was an active member of the Pi Phi alumnae and Worthington 30-Year Club. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, reading, all things Buckeye and traveling with Paul to the Holy Land, Europe, Caribbean and Siesta Key, FL. She was a founding member of Northwest Evangelical Christian Church, which merged with Lifepoint Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service will be held July 19, 2017. Visitation from 5-7PM; service begins at 7PM at Lifepoint Church of the Nazarene, 3915 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43221. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lifepoint Children’s Ministry.
