Darlo Darlene Hartley (Biederman), born March 22, 1930 and died peacefully, September 15, 2018. Daughter of Henry August Biederman and Nelda Sutherland Biederman. Wife of the late Homer Oren Hartley. Survived by children Patty (John) Cochrain, Chuck (Terry) Hughes, Rebecca Kardas, and step-children, Jane (Jack) Smith and Craig (Sharon) Hartley. She had 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her dear daughter, Susan Daniell and step-children, Gary Hartley, Roger Hartley and her beloved Schnauzer Augie. Darlo’s first priority in life was always her children. She enjoyed selling real estate and met Homer (Blackie), the love of her life, while working at the Indian Hills office. She loved road trips with family, exploring the country. She was a devoted Democrat for life and was proud of her time spent volunteering for the Young Democrats of America during the Kennedy years. She enjoyed watching golf, especially while Jack Nicklaus was at his height. Her loving, kind, patient and always cheerful personality will never be forgotten. She always said right up to the end, when asked how she was, “I’m fine and dandy”.
Visitation will be held at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERALHOME, 515 High Street Worthington, Ohio on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 4 - 7 p.m. with service to follow.
