Jon Carl Hunt, age 79 of Hilliard, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 23, 2021. Jon was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Frederick and Henrietta Hunt. Also preceded in death by his siblings, Fred “Sonny” Hunt, Jr., James “Jim” Hunt, Mary LeBlanc, Sally Stokes, Gerald “Butch” Hunt, Judy Campbell, and Samuel “Sam” Hunt, and father-in-law, Herbert Griffith. Jon was a longtime active member of Central Baptist Church. He was a unique man who was fun, had a great sense of humor, and unforgettable to many. Jon was a record collector, dog rescuer and football fan who enjoyed the Cleveland Browns and OSU. He retired from GenPak and was currently working at Giant Eagle. Jon will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Jill Hunt; brother, Henry “Hank” (Sherrill) Hunt; mother-in-law, Joy Griffith; father-in-law, Tony (Elaine) Stuthard; sisters-in-law, Janice Hunt and Lynda Hunt; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family members, dear friends, and co-workers.
