IHNAT Emil F. Ihnat, age 85, of Columbus, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at home. Retired School Teacher with Columbus Public Schools. Preceded in death by wife Nancy. Survived by children, Thomas (Kathy) Ihnat, Barbara Dougherty and William (Ann) Ihnat; grandchildren, Eric (Kathy), Heidi (Kurt) Miers, Melissa, Suzanne, Mychael and Emil; great-grandchildren, Zach, Hannah, Brandon and Curtis; sister, Helen Timmons, Fremont, Oh.; brother, Joseph Ihnat Sr., Tucson, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews. Attended Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Veteran U.S. Army-Air Force in WW II. 1946 graduate of Bowling Green State University and member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2004 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington. Graveside service with Military Honors 9 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 5481 North High St., Worthington. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2004 at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Chruch, 2001 Northwest Blvd., Upper Arlington, Oh. 43212 with Pastor Steve Wachtman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or Bowling Green State University, Department of Athletics, Bowling Green, Oh. 43403-0030. The family would to thank Hospice at Riverside/Grant, Nurse Carol Gallant and Dr. Bill Inglis, Home Health Connection, Stacey Harris and Carmella Thomas for their loving care
