Scott was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1980. He attended Evening Street Elementary School, Worthingway Middle School and graduated from Thomas Worthington High School in 1998. Scott played football and lacrosse for Thomas Worthington and was a standout athlete. He continued his lacrosse career at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio where he played for the Battling Bishops. Scott was named Newcomer of the Year in his freshman year and All-American in his sophomore year. Scott gave back to the game of the lacrosse as he coached and mentored young men at Worthingway Middle School. He also played for a short time on Columbus’ Land Sharks professional indoor lacrosse team in the early 2000s. In 2001, Scott began his career in the fashion industry working for Abercrombie and Fitch. While there, he learned invaluable skills in color design, labels and trim and merchandising which would serve Scott on his path to entrepreneurship and business owner. Leaving Abercrombie in 2005 Scott moved to San Francisco to work for Gap Inc. as Production Coordinator. While in San Francisco Scott was also an assistant men’s lacrosse coach for the University of California Berkley. In the same year he moved to Los Angeles to work for the young denim firm of Rock and Republic as Trim Director. Scott’s most rewarding role, as stay-at-home dad, began in 2007 with the birth of his beloved daughter Addison Julia and a move to New York. Addison would be joined in 2009 by her equally cherished brother Porter Joseph. Scott took great pride in the care and teaching of his children and in watching their growth. In 2010 Scott started his domestic fashion trim and tag business, Original Brand. As the enterprise began to build an international presence, Scott was able to bring his brother Brent into the firm. Scott enjoyed sports, especially watching OSU football, world travel, as well as history documentaries and keeping abreast of current events. Scott was forever the entertainer and enjoyed organizing social activities with his friends when on trips to Worthington to visit family and celebrate life’s milestones.
