JoAnn E. Jeck, 85, of Columbus, passed peacefully Monday, September 26, 2016 at Kobacker House with her beloved husband of 65 years and children at her side. JoAnn was born April 24, 1931 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Oliver A. and Mabel E. (Holmes) Potts. She was prededed in death by her daughter Kathryn Jo Jeck Belton and parents-in-law Porter R. and Edyth (Newbold) Jeck, sister-in-laws Crystil Jeck and Frances Felton. JoAnn is survived by her adoring husband Nelson N. Jeck; children Jean A. Jeck (Frank C. Redman), Nelson N. Jeck Jr., Kenneth A. Jeck (Carlos Caballero); grandchildren Nelson N. (Erin) Jeck III, Gabriel M. Linnabary (Jessica Tatman), Sabrina E. (Chad) Mowry, Mollie C. Jeck, Emma O. Jeck, great grandchildren Mikey, Julia, Dylon, Griffin, Aria, Sophia, siblings Margaret Crawford, Laurine Schultz, Charles Robert Potts, Donna Stanley and Alvin (Anne) Potts. A favored aunt to numerous nieces and nephews; and a rich lifetime worth of close friends and loving neighbors. JoAnn was a grandma to all the children she met and knew; and an avid bridge player. She loved to travel and experience the world with trips to Germany, Scotland, England and trips out west, especially her annual trip to Las Vegas. JoAnn was a genuinely loving and honest woman who will be missed dearly by all whose life she has touched. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 4-7 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. where a funeral service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
