Helen Langley (Nee Bowers), 99, on Sunday, January 20th at home. A service will be held on Thursday, January 24th at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hanover, East Hanover, NJ. A graveside service will beheld at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 25th at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of her son and in her memory may be made to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield MA 01202. Born in Auglaize County, Ohio to the late William and Modock Bowers, Helen was one of four children. She was raised on a farm, became a beautician and eventually met and married her beloved husband, Gene E. Langley. The couple had two children, Bill and Sally. Helen lived in Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Florida, and New Jersey. She was active with the Worthington United Methodist Church in Ohio; participated in many fundraising walks; and served as past president of the Leukemia Society, Franklin County, Ohio. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter and granddaughter - she visited all 50 states and many other countries. She was an avid gardener who loved birds and flowers. She also enjoyed cooking, singing, quilting and playing cards and bingo with her friends. She brought joy to many and will be dearly missed by her many friends and family. Predeceased by her husband Gene, her son Bill, her brother Lloyd and her sisters Dona Kramer and Orpha Gordon. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Sohigian and her granddaughter, Laurel.
