Link Emmelene Florence (Woehrle) Link, age 92, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon where she has been a resident for the past six years. She was in Hospice care following a brief illness and was cared for lovingly by the Laurels staff personnel throughout her entire tenure there. Emmelene was born on February 5, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of David and Florence (Karnes) Woehrle. She was a 1940 graduate of Hilliard High School and was an amateur artist and avid theater enthusiast. Emmelene was co-founder of Curtain Players in Westerville and played many roles there. She was also a member of the Maize Manor United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Michael (Susan) Link of Fredericktown; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Link; and a brother, Norman (Jean) Woehrle of Westerville. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Norman Link, whom she married in 1942, a son Jeffrey Link and a brother David Woehrle. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington, Ohio.
