Clark E. Loofbourrow, age 83 of Worthington, Saturday, March 27, 1993, Riverside Hospital. He was born near Mr. Sterling, Oh. The son of Oel E. and Leila Bower Loofbourrow. Mr. Loofbourrow for many years was a practicing Attorney and CPA. He graduated from Monroe Twp. High School in Pickaway Co. Received B.S. in Accounting from Franklin University in 1935, a Bachelor's of Law Degree from Franklin in 1949, Juris Doctorate from Capital Law School in 1966. He was very active in professional societies serving as Treasurer 1955 - 1960 of the Ohio Society of CPA's and Vice President 1964 - 1965. He was President of the Columbus Chaper of the Ohio Society from 1958 - 1959. He was also a member of the Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations. Member Worthington United Methodist Church and past member of the Administrative Board. He was active in governmental affairs in Worthington, serving as Solicitor 1955 - 1956. Member of the City Charter Mommission and as Worthington's Mayor from 1961 - 1967. President of the Franklin County Mayor's Council in 1962 and Lieutenant Governor of District 10-E for Kiwanis International. He served in th U.S. Third Army during WW II and was a member of the Leasue-Blackstone Post of the American Legion. Member of Benjamin Franklin Chapter Sons of the American Revolution. Mr. Loofbourrow was active in many Masonic organizations. He was a member of New England Lodge #4 F&AM, A.A.S.R., Valley of Columbus. Horace W. Wright Chapter 226, Zabud Council No. 99, Mt Vernon Commandery No. 1 and the Ambassador Club. Member Aladdin Shrine Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., Aladdin Reception Unit, Royal Order of the Jesters, El Hajj and Hillbilly Clan No. 8, Charter member Worthington Shrine Club and served as President and was Secretary-Emeritus. Mr. Loofbourrow is survived by his wife, Julia Hosler Loofbourrow; brother, L. Glenn (Helen) Loofbourrow, Ft. Myers, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law Luanne and Mike Clevenger and grandso, Wade of Worthington. Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel 515 High St., Worthington. Rev. Robert K. Chiles officiating. Friends may call 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery.
