Martha Jean Lorimer (née Whittaker)  was born Sunday, February 6, 1927 in Morrisville, Pennsylvania .

Born February 6, 1927 in Morrisville, PA to Elmer and Mable Whittaker. Graduated from Morrisville High School in 1945 where she was a High School Cheerleader and Secretary of Student Council. Married January 29th, 1949 to High School sweetheart James Lorimer. They met at a High School Halloween party playing a kissing game called "wink" 80 years ago. Later moving to Worthington, Ohio where he served as Mayor and Vice Mayor of the city for 52 years and Vice President of Nationwide Insurance. She supported her husband through his career and founding of the Arnold Sports Festival. She loved their three children Kathy (Paul) Nagle, Jeff (Jeanne) Lorimer, and Bob (Tammy) Lorimer, and four grandchildren, Karen Nagle, Robert (Lindy) Nagle, Jason (Carrie) Lorimer, and Jessica Lorimer, and six great grandchildren Jayden, Jake, Ruby, Ellie, Hazel, and newest granddaughter Kinsley Jean named after her great grandmother.

She was a tennis enthusiast, loved to go shopping, and enjoyed traveling the world with her family. She was a bunny collector and has one of the world's largest bunny collections.

Visitation will be Thursday May 27th from 5pm-8pm at Schoedinger. Due to COVID-restrictions, there will be a private service for Family on Friday afternoon followed by a "Celebration of Life" gathering (open invitation) from 3:00pm-7:30 pm at a family's private residence.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mount Carmel Hospice. The family also wants to extend a special thank you to the Kemper House, Mount Carmel Hospice, Twyla Grooms, Jody Collins, and Lynn and Duane Snyder for all their loving help and support.
