MAJOR Mark Edward Major, age 40, Tuesday, March 18, 2008, unexpectedly. Graduate of The Ohio State University, with a bachelor's degree in English. Former employee of Suburban News Publications and This Week (he received several awards, one for investigative reporting). Former owner of Major and Daughter Landscape Co. Mark was a passionate young man who loved his daughter, Kate, his white plume; his family and friends. He also loved movies, writing, reading, cooking and baking as well as making Halloween costumes. Preceded in death by grandfather Jim Major. Survived by daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Major; former wife and friend, Laura Major; mother, Carol J. Major; father, James (Amy) Major; siblings, Erik (Claudia) Major and Beth (David) James; niece, Daisy Major; nephew, Zachary Major; paternal grandmother, Bettie Major and maternal grandparents, Wrenn and Evelyn Grice; many aunts, uncles, cousins.
