Marguerite K. Moore, age 81, of Worthington, Sunday, May 26, 1985, Whetstone Convalescent Center. As a daughter of deaf parents, she became and remained active in educating the deaf. Preceded in death by husband, Russell S. Moore, and son, Russell S. Jr. Survived by son, Frederick A. Moore, of Worthington; daughter, Marguerite (Peggy) Ray, of Perrysburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Susan Kramer, Michael and Stephen Ray, Craig and Barbara Moore; sister, Nellie D. Gillespie, of Worthington. Member of Worthington Methodist Church. Teacher of Sign Language for over 8 years, Worthington Methodist Church. One of the Citizen Journal's Top Women of the Year. First President of Worthington PTA. Held offices in Parent Teachers Assn. On the local, state and national levels. Associated with Ohio Home for Aged Deaf. Member of the Board of Hannah Neil Center for Children. Member of Advisory Council for State Department of Education-Dept. of Special Education and associated with Pilot Dogs. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, Worthington Methodist Church. Dr. W. Edge Dixon officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions maybe made to Worthington Methodist Church Memorial Fund or any organization benefiting the deaf.
