Zita A. O'Brien, age 92, of Columbus, died peacefully on Sunday March 4, 2012 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Zita enjoyed playing Duplicate Bridge and golf, and shopping to add to her collections of clothing and jewelry. Former member of TWIG and CCL. Zita is preceded in death by her husband, J. Edmund O'Brien; parents, Elmer and Alta Weaver; sister and brother-in-law, Rheta and George Perry. She is survived by her devoted children; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Rickey Stansifer and son and daughter-in-law, John E. III and Pam O'Brien; grandson, Mike Thornborough and his wife, Roberta and their children, Brandon and Haley. Friends may call 10 to 11:30 AM Wednesday March 7, 2012 at Rutherford- Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, where Funeral Service will be at 11:30 AM. Pastor Bonnie Gerber officiating.
