John D. Payne, 79, died Tuesday at his home, 812 Morning Street. He had been in failing health for some time. He is survived by his wife, Fannie, one daughter, Mrs. Clara Moss of Columbus, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Worthington AME Church Firday at 2:00 p.m. and interment made in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Corbin Funeral Home.
