John A. Reed, age 63 of Mt Gilead, died Friday May 14 at his home. John was born on November 9, 1957 in Columbus to Wilburn and Jane (Mullins) Reed. John was a member of the Whetstone HS Class of ’76, and completed training to become an LPN and worked at The Ohio State University Hospitals. John loved OSU sports, gardening and was a friend to many cats and dogs. He is preceded in death by his father Wilburn Reed. John is survived by his mother Jane Reed, brothers Joe (Lisa) Reed, Jeff (Kathleen) Reed; nieces and nephews Joshua, Brittany, Connor and Kennedy Reed; and his extended family at The Ohio State University James Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday May 23, 2021 at 4:00pm at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St Worthington where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
