William S. Roberts, 81, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at St. Lucie Medical Center. He was born in Grand Rapids, Mi, grew up in Columbus and resided for 35 years in Worthington, Ohio. He lived in Port St. Lucie, Florida for 15 years. Before retirement, he was secretary of Buckeye Union Insurance Company. He served in the Army, 37th Signal Company, during WWII. He was a member of Worthington Presbyterian Church. He was a master Mason in York Columbus (Ohio( Blue Lodge, and a member of Ohio National Guard, Columbus Aladdin Shrine Temple, Old North High Club, Worthington Garden Club, Air Force Sergeants Association, Port St. Lucie Amateur Radio Association, Oceanside Investors Club, Airstream Caravan Association, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patricia Roberts of Port St. Lucie, Fl; a son, Michael Roberts and wife Janet of Lewisburg, Pa; a daughter Shirley Sartori of Westerville, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy Libecap of North Hollywood, Ca; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 8 at the Cove at Savanna Club, Port St. Lucie. Interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington, Ohio.
