Louise Thompson Robinson, age 84, died peacefully November 26, 2002 at Whetstone Care Center. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Stanley U. Robinson Jr., Attorney. She is survived by children, Stanley U. Robinson III (Lois Voltmer), David (Lyn) Robinson, Sue Robinson (Paul Fertig), Cicily (Dave) Sweet; grandchildren, Geoff, Ted and Matt (Jen) Robinson, Todd Dobbs (Stacey Yeager), Bevin and Paul Sweet; step-granddaughters, Anne (Cornelius) Willis, Karen (Dana) Marshall and Heather (Paul) VandenHeuvel; 1 great-grandson; 3 step-great-grandchildren. Louise was a member of the North Columbus Friends Meeting (Quakers) for over 50 years. She was always active in peace and racial equality efforts, through Quaker groups and other venues. She served on many committees and boards. She will be remembered for offering a different point of view sometimes raising questions that were right-on. She understood the political system, always keeping well versed on the latest legislation pertaining to peace and equality issues. Louise and Stan were among the founding members of the Worthington Human Relations Council in the early 1960's, a group that helped set the stage for fair housing legislation. Louise' memory would be best honored by seeking peace and justice in your neighborhood and the world. If you wish to make an additional gesture, the family suggests donations to the North Columbus Friends Meeting, 1954 Indianola Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43201, Fellowship of Reconciliation, Box 271, Nyack, N.Y. 10960 or the Friends Committee on National Legislation, 245 Second St. N.E., Washington, D.C. 20002-5795. Please join family and friends for a Quaker memorial service to be held Saturday, December 14, 1:30 p.m. at the Westerville Community United Church of Christ, 770 County Line Road.
