Thomas J. Schumacher, “The Shu” age 82 of Columbus, died Monday November 26, 2018 at Riverside Hospital. Thomas was born in on May 5, 1936 to the late Clarence and Dolores (Preston) Schumacher. He is preceded in death by his wife Ann. He survived by his sons Mark and Todd (Fiance Cindy Greene) Schumacher. Grandchildren Tyler and Madelieine Schumacher. Sister Sandy Davis, brothers Alan Gray, and Brian Wilson. Numerous nieces and nephews. Special friend and neighbor Maria Fisher and many street rod friends too numerous to mention, and his Golden Retriever Parker. Thomas was former NHRA record holder, original member of the Rod Shop Racing Team, presently NSRA District Rep, LA Roadsters member, OSU Boosters member, and an Avid Buckeye fan, retired from F&R Lazarus and Franklin County Courts. Friends may call Thursday from 5 - 8:00pm at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Bethel Road Presbyterian Church, 1735 Bethel Road with Pastor Jerry officiating, with burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
