Shuford Jeanne S. Shuford, Kim Jeanne died peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the age 73, unexpectedly in Los Angeles, due to a brain aneurysm. She was born on March 25, 1941 in the North Hamgyong Province of Korea, in the city of Sinuiju to the late, Nae Ki Son- mother and Sung Suk Kim- father. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Walls, six brothers, and a sister. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Shuford; sons, Denny Walls and Derek (Julie) Walls; grandchildren, Anthony, Luke, Madison, Conner, and Lauren; brothers, Kim Young Nam of Korea and Kim Young Chan of Los Angeles; numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, and friends. She was a very giving and determined person, from her childhood making her way to South Korea, coming to the US as a young adult, being an entrepreneur, and overcoming many obstacles to obtain her goals. She was an active member of the Korean United Methodist Church, the Korean Association of Columbus, Asian Commerce Association, the Korean Language School, and spent her life helping everyone in need. She was beloved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly. The family will receive friends on THURSDAY, May 29, 2014 from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St.(Powell Rd./St.Rt. 750/ 1/4 east of Sawmill Pkwy.),Powell, OH 43065, with a Korean Service from 7-7:30 p.m. The Funeral Services will begin at 10 a.m. on FRIDAY, May 30, 2014 at the KOREAN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 5899 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, OH 43231. Interment will follow at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington with lunch to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Korean United Methodist Church.
