Skinner Robert Carl Skinner, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born in Columbus on October 17, 1926 to the late Carl and Alice Voll Skinner. A graduate of South High School, he went on to serve in WWII, having served with the United States Army in the Philippines. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Class of 1949, he became a Certified Public Accountant in 1959. He went on to work as a CPA with Ernst and Ernst, a Vice President of Finance for Nippert, and then to act as the Head the U.S. Operations for Otokumpu. He served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the PIC TOKEN Stock Club. A great Buckeye football fan, he was a 60 plus years, season ticket holder. He loved to travel around the world with his wife Joanne on vacation. They were also longtime residents of Worthington Hills. A great man with a sense of humor, who demonstrated kindness and generosity to all he knew and met. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be deeply missed by his family. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; children, Lynn Logan, Lori Lee and Corey (Holly) Skinner; granddaughters, Jacky Skinner, Erica and Andrea Lee; his two nieces, nephew and their families. He is also preceded in death by his sister Lillian Riser. Special thanks for the wonderful and dedicated staff at Riverside Hospital, and the Inn at Olentangy Trails, for taking such good care of Robert during his final days. Also a special thanks to a dear family friend and Robert's former assistant, Betty Jo Vining, for her continued dedication and help to the family. As well as special childhood friends, Tom Littleton and Jack Wittcamp. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington, where the Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Pastor Mark Dettmer, officiating. Interment to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
