SLETTO Beatrice Ingeborg (Jorgenson) Sletto, age 95, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 2, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Preceded in death by husband Dr. Raymond F. Sletto. Survived by daughter, Sandra (Dr. Warren) Powell; grandchildren, Dr. Raymond (Dr. Kara Joyner) Swisher, Andrea (Sgt. Bryan) Stover, Kirsten (Brian) Donohue, Michael Powell, Shari (James) Burnheimer and David (Jennifer) Powell; great-grandchildren, Tate and Dana Stover, Liam, Emma and Levi Donohue, Nicholas Swisher, Casey, Dylan, Jessica and Cooper Powell, Daniel and Joseph Burnheimer, Peter and Henry Powell. Beatrice was a 30 year member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church where she was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 1997; Graduate of Minneapolis College of Music in 1930; Soprano Soloist for First Community Church for 19 years; former soloist at St. John's Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. Member and soloist of Vaudvillities for 17 years; member and soloist of Ohio State University Women's Club; 40 year member of Ikebana International flower arranging society; Cardinal Garden Club; former member of Ed Montgomery Singers and member of Saturday Music Club. Memorial Service 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 North High Street, Columbus with Rev. William R. Leety, officiating. Private Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Cuirim Outreach, P.O. Box 1748, Nogales, AZ 85628, a full time missionary project of Kirsten and Brian Donohue or Franklin Park Conservatory, 1777 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43203, where she was in many flower arranging groups.
