Frances (Fran) Virginia Smith was born some time in 1924.
she died Wednesday, March 28, 2018. her recorded age was 93.
Frances “Fran” V. Smith age 93 of Worthington, OH completed her journey to Heaven on March 28th 2018 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Preceded in death by husband Robert (Bob) H. and son Gary R. Survived by her daughter Patricia “Patti” (Harold) McEowen, granddaughter Cassie (Wade) Smith and great granddaughter Abbigail Smith. Also surviving are: grandsons Matthew and Mark Smith along with their families; nephews Bob and Chuck Mayhew along with their families. Graduate of Worthington High School, class of 1942, where she was a member of G.A.A., a class reporter, and an office girl. Member of Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church, of which she and her husband were among the original founding members. Later in life she became known as “Frankie” to her new friends at Mt. Carmel Wound Care and St. Ann’s Hospital. The family wishes to thank these wonderful people for their caring and love during this difficult time.
Fran was a loving, caring, kind, and giving person. She loved her family dearly and she will be terribly missed. We know she’s in Heaven with her beloved husband and son. Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday April 4th at the church, 520 Village Park Dr. Powell, OH 43065. Pastor Stephen Kuehl officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday April 3rd from 5-7 P.M. at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME in Worthington and 1 hour prior to Wednesday service. Burial to follow service at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
