Frederick L. (Whitey) Snoufer, age 70, Wednesday, March 1, 1989, at home. Lifetime resident of Linworth. Only child of Lyle and Frankie Snouffer. Retired from Franklin County sheriff's Office after 30 year service, where he organized and headed the Juvenile Section of the Detective Bureau. Gifted musician and avid baseball fan. Piano player for Freddie Williams Band for many years. Served his country in the army for 4 years during WW II, including 3 years in Europe. Member of Linworth United Methodist Church. Survived by wife, Maxine, of 42 years; daughters, Susan (Mrs. Ted) Kuhn of Dublin and Nancy (Mrs. Arthur) Morris of Zionsville, Ind.; 4 grandchildren, Robyn and Christopher Kuhn, Stephanie and Megan Morris. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, where family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Rev. Michael Mahoney and Rev. H. Eugene Folden officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
