William Albert Spernoga, 27, died suddenly on April 11, 2022 at his home in Worthington. He is survived by his parents, Margaret and Robert; and brother, Richard; partner, Hannah Mermis and children, Silas, Calvin, and Ivy. Also Aunt Mary and Uncle Ray Amtmann, Aunt Anne and Uncle Bill Kuhns, Aunt Sharon Zielinski, Uncle Tom Jordan; and cousins Lindsey, Leslie, Eric, Jen, Tina, Jodi, John, Sue, and Joe. Preceded in death by Aunt Irene Jordan, Uncle Gary Spernoga, Uncle Jack Zielinski, and grandparents. Will was a 2012 honors graduate of Thomas Worthington High School. He was an excellent athlete and played varsity football for three years as a starting offensive and defensive lineman. Will was a gifted, bright, energetic, and adventurous child. He excelled at his many interests, including playing flute and guitar, chess, baseball, ice skating, and downhill skiing. He enjoyed watching Browns and Buckeyes football, playing video games and reading books. Will earned his living as a cook and worked most recently at Lexi's Deli in downtown Columbus. Will was a good, kind, and spiritual person. He had a quick sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. He was admired and loved by those who knew him. He is greatly loved and missed.
