Elizabeth J. "Liz" Stone (Hakes), 93, of Centerburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was married to the love of her life Bill Stone for 73 years. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Ben & Margie Hakes; husband, William "Bill" Stone; and daughter, Connie Cohagan (Stone). She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Gary) Dial; grandchildren, Wendy (Jason) Tucker, Chris Dial, Brandie (Nick) Fox, and Broc Dial; great grandchildren, Stephanie Stulka, Shane Tucker, Shayla Tucker, Seth Tucker, Amber (David) Johnson, Kahli Dial, Lucas Dial, Adam Dial, Cecilia Dial, and Ellie Fox; great-great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Braedyn, Scarlett, Sylias, Althea, Avonlea, Kyson, Zayden, Maddix, and Arlo. Liz was a cosmetologist & homemaker in Columbus, Ohio. She enjoyed spending time with family, working on genealogy, square dancing (Morgan center grange), sewing, camping, and attending OSU football and basketball games. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Worthington, Ohio, from 11 am to 1pm. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1pm. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
