Beverly Jane Strickland, age 66, died Sunday, May 31, 1992 at Riverside Methodist Hospital after a valiant thirteen year fight against cancer. She was a native of Ithaca, N.Y. and graduate of Ithaca High School, Class of 1943. Member of Linworth United Methodist Church, Women Today, the American Quilter's Society, former member of New Neighbours, Twig 98, secretary of Program Resources of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Women while residing in Sylvania, Oh. Preceded in death by son, Joseph K. Strickland Jr.; father, Ellsworth C. Wager; brother, William E. Wager. Survived by husband, Joseph K. Strickland; mother, Helen G. Wager, of Worthington; daughter, Mary Jane McDonald, of Columbus; and son, David W. Strickland and his wife, Carole L. Strickland, of Columbus; grandchildren, Patrick K. Strickland, of Covelo, Calif., Kelly K. McDonald, Jessica J. McDonald and Adam W. Strickland, all of Columbus. Family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington. Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 1992 at Linworth United Methodist Church, 6200 Linworth Rd., Worthington. Rev. Raymond Merz and Rev. Todd Anderson of Linworth United Methodist Church, and Rev. Benjamin Edwards of Washington C.H. Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery.
