Member of N.A.S.S.P., Phi Delta Kappa, St. John's evangelical Protestant Church, OSU Alumni Assn., TBDBITL Alumni Club. Member of Advisory Board of the Stadium Scholarship Dorms. Veteran of WWII U.S. Army, Field Artillery, Third Army European Theatre. Colonel with U.S. Army Reserves. President of the Retired Officers Club of Central Ohio, life member ROA, Humbolt Lodge F and AM, Scottish Rite, Aladdin Temple Shrine, AUSA. Survived by wife, Elma; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Sandra, David Philip and Diane, all of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Stephen Reed, Zanesville; 5 grandchildren; brother, Vernon, Huntsville, Ala.; sister, Elsie Risdon, Vermilion, Oh. Funeral service Monday 11 a.m. SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., where friends may call Saturday 6- 8 p.m. and Sunday 2-5 p.m. Pastor Steven Dennis and Rev. Donald Gorbett officiating.
