WEAKLAND Thomas "Tom" L. Weakland, 60, of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Grady Memorial Hospital. He was born May 14, 1950 in Altoona, PA, to Thomas W. and Florine J. (Tilson) Weakland. Tom worked as a training coordinator at the Delaware County Bank and he also had a part time job with Meijer. He deeply loved his family, he also loved working and meeting people, hunting, reading and singing. Tom is survived by his wife, Shannon; five children, Jenna (Thad) Inscho of Delaware, Nate (Katie) Weakland of Delaware, Deanna Weakland of Delaware, Senior Airman Kit Weakland of Las Vegas, NV, and Ned Weakland (fiancee, Leah Inglis of Colorado) of Delaware; two grandchildren, Daphne and Braden Inscho; mother, Florine (Ken) Feather of Florida; a sister, Kathy (George) Myers; and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas W. Weakland, and his step-father Roy K. Taylor. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the RODMAN NEEPER FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, 580 Hills-Miller Rd., Delaware or a charity of the Donor's choice.
