Arrangements were made by Mid Ohio Cremation Service (Delaware, OH). The burial took place on Tuesday, August 5, 2014.

Renee Ferdinand Wells, age 88, of Worthington, Saturday, July 25, 2009, Wesley Glenn Health Center. Born Renee F. Regan February 10, 1921, to the former Elsie Wassman of Aniwa, Wisconsin and Paul Regan of Lancaster, Ohio out of Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated High School in Antigo, WI, class of 1939. She married Raymond F. Wells, of Kempster, WI on March 18, 1941 in Antigo. While Ray served in the South Pacific, she worked in various defense industries including Ravenna Arsenal & later the Curtiss-Wright Aircraft Plant at Port Columbus. After WWII, she supported Ray in using the GI Bill to attend accounting school at OSU in Columbus. With Ray's employment by the IRS, the family moved into their first house on Argyle Dr. in Amvet Village. During this time the family attended Village Park UMC and she volunteered at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was a member of the Riverside Sewing Guild for more than 30 years. Following the graduation of their children from Mifflin H.S., the family moved to Indian Hills in Worthington where they attended Worthington UMC and where she volunteered at the American Cancer Society's Thrift Shop. Following the death of her husband in 1987, she moved into Wesley Glenn with many of her friends from church and the Worthington community. She is survived by her son John, daughter Patricia Chapman, grandson Joshua Taylor, granddaughters Emily Renee Wells, Nikki & Dawn Chapman, and Alanna Underwood of Lancaster; great-grandchildren Samuel Muetzer, Taylor & Destiny Smith, Madison Stevison, Brittany & A. J. Kuykendall, Aliescia & Curtis Donaldson and Makayla Underwood; sister Elaine Dalby of Magna, UT. A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at 1:30 pm, Sunday, August 2nd in the Longsworth Auditorium on the 8th Floor of Wesley Glenn Methodist Retirement Center, 5155 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the Worthington UMC Fund.
