WHERRY Nancy Wherry, born Nancy Ann McGinnis on December 16, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Penn., closed the final chapter of her life here on earth on April 29, 2000. An unwavering positive role model for her children and others through the unpredictable and often difficult passages of life. Generous of spirit, always considering the impact of any decision on others first and herself last. A lover of life, of the arts and of ideas. A warm and open heart free of prejudice and hate. A fun loving wife and companion to her husband, Paul; an honest and loving teacher to her children, Carole, Mark and Tom; a friend and support to her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Michael Tomko and Kecia Wherry; and a gracious and kind grandmother to her four grandchildren, Kate and Alex Tomko, Anna and Lily Wherry. She will be missed by them all as she will be missed by her extended family, her friends and her former colleagues and acquaintances. All who have known her have been touched in some positive way by having done so. Funeral service Tuesday 11 am, May 2, 2000, SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (* mile south of I-270) where friends may call Monday, May 1st, 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Rev. Dave Schroeder officiating. Interment at a later time at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
