WORLEY Jerry W. Worley, 67, Columbus, passed away December 19, 2003. He was born July 20, 1936, in Trebein, Ohio, and was preceded in death by his parents Aleta J. and Joseph C. Worley and his wife Marilyn (Pitkin). A CPA, he retired from Nationwide Insurance Companies, where he was Director of Internal Audit. Prior to joining Nationwide, he was an accountant with the public accounting firm, Ernst & Young. Until his passing, he was Treasurer of Glenmont Nursing Facility in Hilliard, Ohio, a member of Third Church of Christ, Scientist, Columbus, where he was serving as Clerk, and a member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. Following his graduation from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, he became a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps. Before retiring with the rank of Captain, he served in Vietnam, where he was stationed at Da Nang Air Base as Supply Officer. After retiring from the service he earned his MBA from The Ohio State University. He is survived by two sisters, Joanne F. Marble and Julia E. (Mrs. Robert) Echerd; and a brother, Joseph C.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. Two brothers James C. and John B. preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, 614-885-4006.
