ZIMMERMAN Kaye Zimmerman, 86, longtime resident of Worthington, Oh., died Monday, December 10, 2007, after a long illness with Alzheimer's. She was born February 12, 1921, to the late Walter L. Green II and Ruth Bailey Green in Madison, Oh. She graduated from Madison High School and The Ohio State University in home economics. Kaye was a homemaker, and later worked at Dwight Spencer & Associates, a market research firm, where she retired as a dietician and manager of its test kitchen. A member of North Community Lutheran Church for over 55 years, she was active in the Ruth Circle and various fellowship groups, and where she enjoyed many social friendships. Kaye was also active for many years in the TWIG Auxiliary of Children's Hospital, and was a Camp Fire Girls leader and loved to travel. Loving wife of Roy E. Zimmerman for 63 years, and a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, in addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Sandra Kaye Johnson and husband, Peter of Aspen, Colo.; her sons, David Roy Zimmerman and wife, Linda of Decatur, Ga. and Mark Alan Zimmerman and wife, Marguerite of Columbus; her grandchildren, David R. Zimmerman, Jr. (Carmen) of The Woodlands, Tex., Carrie L. Centner (Keith) of Nashville, Tenn., Lauren C. Johnson (Mark) of Carbondale, Colo. and Ashley K. Zimmerman (fiance, Chris Cicconi) of Chandler, Ariz.; her great-grandchildren, Diego A. Zimmerman and Adriana M. Zimmerman of The Woodlands, Tex.; brothers, Walter L. Green III and Joseph R. Green of North Madison, Oh.; sister, Fay F. Francis of Madison, Oh.; and their families. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh. 43085, 614-885-4006 and again from 10-11 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2007, at North Community Lutheran Church, ELCA, 114 Morse Rd., Columbus, Oh. 43214, where Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Art Haimerl and Pastor John Kindsvatter officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington, Oh. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 3380 Tremont Rd., Columbus, Oh. 43221, in Kaye's memory.
