Lewis also served on the Worthington Village Council, as the president of the Water Board, and as Justice of the Peace. He was a trustee and Sunday School Superintendent for Worthington Methodist Church. W.C. Lewis was also a member of the New England Lodge No. 4, the I.O.O.F., the Eastern Star, and the Chamber of Commerce.
